THEATRE
SHOW
Far from her native Bordeaux, Norma is having a hard time dealing with the fact that she had to move to the countryside since her parents broke-up. In Montreal, Mimi is writing a 10-episode series while looking for work. And on a street corner, in Yaoundé, a young banana seller watches the latest it girl walk by: he’s been dreaming about her for ages. What could be the secret link that binds these three parallel stories?
PROJECT
What are the similarities and differences in the way adolescents look at life? Three French-speaking authors of varying origins present three very different faces from around the world to inspire our collective reflection. Three voices that are interconnected in the same way the lives of human beings are increasingly linked in today’s world.
This project is the result of the meeting of three authors during different residencies at the Maison des auteurs in Limoges, France, and in Poland, at the 10 sur 10 writers’ residency for young audiences developed by Draméducation.
The amount of work involved in creating Par tes yeux was enormous, including many trips between three continents, much artistic back-and-forth and meetings with young audiences right up until the premiere at the end of September 2018 in France.
